Luton & Dunstable Netball League - Open Tournament - Sunday 21st September - Putteridge
Sunday saw the start to the netball season with the Open Tournament. 20 teams entered, split into 3 pools.
The semi-finals saw premier team Red Tornadoes playing their club juniors, Pink Tornadoes. Pinks, who are all under 15, valiantly played never giving up. Half time saw Reds ahead 7-4. During the second half Reds pulled away and won 15-5. The other semi saw yet another Tornadoes team - Yellows playing premier team Red Devils. Devils led from the outset with a half time score of 6-3 and final score of 11-7.
The final was very close to call with each team going goal for goal and with Devils trailing 3-4 at half time. During the second half they picked up the gauntlet winning 8-7.
